Our client had recently purchased a tired and run down detached dwelling in an affluent part of the Wirral.
The dwelling was in need of updating and refurbishing. An extension was also required, to suit needs of our client and their family.
The dwelling forms part of a development which was built some time in the 1970’s. This style of detached dwelling always lends its self well to a modern and contemporary update, as the spaces are usually laid out in a straightforward economic way, and the external form of the buildings are usually of a linear and simple form.
The proposal has given them a generous open plan area to the ground floor as extra space, as well as a re-plan of the existing spaces. The upper floor will have an impressive master suite, with the retained existing 4 bedrooms refurbished. Externally, the dwelling has been completely transformed with the addition of black tiles to the facades and roof, zinc detailing and flashings and timber cladding to areas of the ground floor.
