This proposal for an extension to an existing dental surgery included the demolition of the existing outbuildings to the rear of the property and the construction an extension to provide three new surgeries with waiting space whilst also providing accessible toilet provision to the building. The scheme was carefully designed to enable continuity of services for the practice and minimum disruption during construction. The Investigative 3D studies were developed and used in consultation with neighbours and planners to enable the smooth progression of the proposal through planning process.
Existing internal ground floor spaces were remodelled to provide new office and record keeping spaces. A new sterilisation room to upgrade the practice in line with new guidance on cross contamination was also included.
The modifications will result in the majority of the surgeries being at ground floor rather than at first floor level with the purpose built surgeries and new WC accommodation providing greater accessibility for all patients including the elderly and disabled.
The new surgeries will greatly improve the level of facilities provided by the dental practice and will provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors to the practice.
